Winter Wedding Ideas

When creating a design for a winter wedding, I say make it a true winter wonderland. Why not go over the top and make it a real dream come true. The photos below show some winter designs that are gorgeous, over the top and real winter wonderlands. I love the use of lighting to create a mood and design complete and when using mostly white decor and florals lighting can give an extra pop when used right.

This first design utilizes blue lighting with white florals and silver decor for chairs and table clothes. I love the hanging designs that makes it look like icicles hanging above you as well as chandeliers. Using family style tables, huge centerpieces but with clear vases so you can still see the other guests and candlelight. I really like this.

As I have stated before I am a sucker for gorgeous archways and love trees for ceremony decor. So I am loving this use of huge trees creating an archway over the whole space making it look and feel like it is taking place outdoors during winter. You can also see what I mean about lighting creating an effect and mood. It looks like a true winter wonderland.

I love the look created by using all white florals along the table. This gorgeous table scape with a large use of white flowers is beautiful. It is elegant and classy wiith candles as well. It utilizes the space available wonderfully. I also adore how each floral piece is one type of flower so it has a modern, sleek look as well. I am just completely in love with this.

Sometimes the greatest statement at a wedding is the things people don't really consider in the first place. This gorgeous silver tablecloth is a wonderful touch to make a wedding unique and adds an impact. Also love the combination of the silver with that blue.

Love the bling hanging above the table in a chandelier look. Adding bling is always a plus to me. It creates a statement and an impact.

I love when a person doesn't choose a traditional color scheme. So when I saw this with the gorgeous green for the linens, although it isn't the traditional blue and white and silver of a winter wedding, it is cool, elegant and definitely looks winter to me.  Love the space, the chandeliers, the color scheme and the gorgeous white floral centerpieces.

If you want any more information on these events, I have them all pinned on my pinterest at http://www.pinterest.com/cegiftbaskets/ Feel free to follow me :)

So if you were having a winter wedding or attending a winter wedding what would you want to see? I always love to hear your thoughts!

A New Year, New Goals...

2014 is going to be my year. I'm not saying 2013 was bad, I mean my daughter was born, we purchased our first home, I discovered a career that I really love, overall it was pretty dang good, but 2014 is going to be my year professionally. I am going to be putting in a lot of effort in building the business of event planning. My kids are getting to an age where I can spend a few hours a day away from them without personally feeling guilty, plus I really enjoy my job and I would love to be able to spend some more time doing it.

So to start this off on the right foot I figured I would love to let all of you know that I am working as the event planner at Entwined Design Events and Florals. Please check out the website: entwineddesignflorals.com or the blog: entwineddesignflorals.blogspot.com or the facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Entwined-Design-Florals/166280670052253?ref=br_tf If you need a planner for a wedding, birthday party, bridal/baby shower or any other event I would be happy to help just email me at Jennifer@entwineddesignflorals.com

My husband and I are still developing paper goods and would happily create invites, menus, place cards or banners for any event you may need them for. I will be posting pictures on etsy within the week. I am including pictures of menus, place cards and a small banner we made for the Waterfront Hilton in Huntington Beach. If you have any questions or inquiries about this you can either contact me through my shop on etsy, the caring expressions facebook page or email caringexpressionsgiftbaskets@gmail.com.

So talking about weddings and 2014 what do you think the new big trend will be? In 2013 it was all DIY and rustic/country designs/themes that were extremely popular. My guess is that 2014 will be more simple elegance. What do you think? I would love to hear your thoughts on the new trends of 2014 or if you would love to know more about anything I am working on. I would also love to hear any of your goals for 2014.
